The BMC64 port PCB is specially designed for installation in a C64 case (both breadbox and flat case shape), the port board here perfectly mimics the connection side of the control ports.

The included micro SD card contains the software of the BMC64 ("Bare Metal C64") by the developer Randy Rossi, who realised this project with loving details such as simulated floppy noises, as well as some games for first tests.
SD card and USB stick can be conveniently loaded with desired games from the Internet on the PC.
The integrated on-screen menu allows many adjustments to individual circumstances and preferences.
Many other features round off the range of functions, e.g. the warp mode for faster loading, kernel changes or snapshots for freezing/saving game states.
The BMC64 can work with files in program form (PRG) as well as cartridge images (TAP) and disk images (D64) - by simulated inserting/changing of disks, reloading games even over several disks is no problem.

40 years after its launch, the popularity of the C64 is at a new high.

The reasons for this have not changed: The highly accessible concept of home computers of that time allows even laymen and the inexperienced a maximum of Do-It-Yourself tinkering experience, the likes of which could never be had again later.
This nostalgic train of thought eventually led to the creation of the hobby project "FaszinationC64".

Well-known hardware reissued and completely new developments fuel the continuing appeal of the C64 universe. FaszinationC64 offers hardware around the Commodore 64 as ready-to-use modules and kits for self-soldering.
