Algierian-born Andrée Esposito (1934) had an important career, and sang in all the major opera houses of France. She excelled in the lyric repertoire, including Tales of Hoffmann, Mignon, Mireille, Carmen, The Pearl Fishers, Lakmé, Traviata The Barber, Lucia, Faust, Rigoletto, Thaïs, Romeo and Juliet and others. She was also an active recitalist.
