Opened in 1954 by Seattle legend Dick Spady, Dick's Drive-In is a local gem, and iconic Seattle food establishment. In 2012, in a major upset, little Dick's Drive-In won Esquire's contest for "most life changing burger joint" in America. And I've got to say... I agree!

The burgers are fresh, affordable, service is fast, it's open late, the consistency is incredible. It's a family-owned, local company started by a guy named Dick, who loved hamburgers. It doesn't get more wholesome than that.

The fries are very unconventional but made with fresh potatoes, and amazing. The cheeseburger melds together cheeseyness and burgerness with a toasty bun in a way that will tickle your soul's nostalgia and bring a 1950's Americana tear to your eye. It's not fancy, but don't let that fool you. They are not messing around with their burgers.

On top of all that, Dick's pays its workers great wages, and helps support them through school with scholarship programs. Truly making the Seattle and surrounding communities a better place. Shoutout to a business doing things the right way!! I try to eat Dick's at least once a month :)
