Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Purulia, observed India's 77th Independence Day on August 15, 2023, with reverence. Shri Amlan Kusum Ghosh, Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarters), Purulia, raised the National Flag at Swadesh Vedi in the morning and delivered an inspiring speech to the students. Swami Shivapradanandaji Maharaj, the Secretary of Vidyapith, also addressed the gathering. Both speakers emphasized the day's significance and the duty of the younger generation in preserving freedom and extending its benefits to all sections of society, particularly the underprivileged.

Following the morning ceremony, class VIII students performed a street play depicting India's freedom struggle, impressively despite limited practice time. Additionally, junior boys commemorated the day in their hostel rooms through activities like musical narrations and presentations.
