This Lakdiva, our abode, is a great land where many sacred relics reside, with many consumer treasures and many places consumed by the All-Knowing. The Mahiyangana Dagoba also houses the hair relics and the Grewa relics which were given by the sages themselves. The South Aku Relic resides in the Thuparama Dagoba in Anuradhapura. The Urnaroma relics reside at the Sela Chaitya in Mihintale. Lalata relics and hair relics also reside at the Seruwawi Mangala Chaitya. The relics of Drona reside in the Ruwanweli Maha Seya in Anuradhapura. The Tooth Relic resides at the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy. In the year 236, after the extinction of the Buddha, the Sumana novices brought the bowl and the relics consumed by the Buddha to this island. These relics are found in dagobas in various parts of the island. The pottery relic was brought but no place where it currently resides is heard. Part of the belt consumed by the Sages is located at the Jetavana Chaitya in Anuradhapura. The Nagadeepa Dagoba was made by treasuring a jewel chair consumed by the Thagatas. There is no ancient dagoba in Nagadeepa at present. There is a tombstone in the Kalyani Dagoba which was consumed by the Tathagatas. It is said that there was a water bottle that the Lord Himself consumed. The southern branch of the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi is located in Anuradhapura. There are also sixteen places consumed by the Lakdiva Tathagatas at the end of the curfew.
