Biopiracy claims refer to a range of concerns regarding the appropriation of biodiversity and associated traditional knowledge without adequate authorization or compensation. Many of these concerns deal with patents and the way they are used in relation to biodiversity. This video describes some of the criticisms made by biopiracy claims, and explains the importance of mainstreaming CBD principles in all company activities, including patenting.
