I am sharing with you tips on how to shop for wedding materials.

Estimated yardage of materials for different wedding dresses.

1. WEDDING DRESS WITH RUFFLES
Organza for ruffles (Minimum 50 yards)

crinoline will be triple the amount of organza. I.e 150 yards

2 yards of duchess For the main dress.

4 to 6yards of bridal satin to serve as the underlay for the ruffles.

bra cups .

2. Ball dresses.

depending on the fullness of the ball

Tulle/Mesh/Veil net at least 30 yards for 4 to 5 layers of half circles.

8 to 10 yards of Bridal satin as part of the layers.

10 yards of hard net acting as a structure for the ball dress.
bra cups.

4 to 5 yards of soft laced tulle for the top most layer.

rigilene boning to give structure and for corsets.
