ELIE SAAB Spring 2025 Paris - 4K

In his highly anticipated Spring 2025 collection at Paris Fashion Week, Elie Saab was inspired by none other than legendary actress Meryl Streep. The designer's rewatch of the 1985 Oscar-winning film Out of Africa set the tone for the season, with safari jackets and a sportier aesthetic taking center stage. Gone was the reliance on basic black—instead, Saab explored a dark khaki green as his neutral base, accented by deep brick, dusty rose, and subtle micro leopard prints.

The collection saw the Lebanese designer experimenting with fresh textures and materials, from raffia on dresses, skirts, and tops to soft waffle weave knits adorned with floral appliqués. Palm frond shapes were skillfully integrated into embroidery and sequins, while the runway was surrounded by lush botanical elements, counterbalancing the modernity of the Palais de Tokyo venue.

Saab’s designs evoked the spirit of adventure with S-curve dresses, bandeaus, and corset-topped trousers, yet kept a modern edge with cinched waists and bold brass accessories. His freedom of expression was evident, and the show was a preview of more to come, as he prepares for a major fashion and entertainment extravaganza during Riyadh Season this November.
