Silent birds on the tallest spire
Feathers floating in the wind
What has passed in blood and fire
The end is where the world begins

We pray with words we cannot hear
And search for hands we cannot hold
Heavy, under hidden tears
A calling of forgotten souls

Who would know what happened here
There's no one left to tell the tale

And fragments fall, beyond the pale

Her freedom in a mighty cage
