My passenger, Stefan, a private pilot from Australia spotted a drone passing down our starboard side, 500 below, 500 horizontally as we were passing through about 2400ft near Worthing Pier, in West Sussex.

I reported the drone via the UK's Mandatory Occurrence Report system after landing.

This drone was exceeding the safe limits of their operation. There was no Notam reporting UAVs in this vicinity at the time.
