We are big fans of the Peugeot e208 hatchback, so what happens when you add another zero to the mix? Does it add up to something better?

The extra zero in its name means it’s a chunkily-styled crossover-cum-small-SUV sister to the 208 supermini and uses the familiar motor and battery which is used in everything from the Vauxhall Corsa to a big Citroen van.

Its nearest rivals are the Kia Soul EV and e-Niro, Hyundai’s Kona Electric and the MG ZS EV, but it’s only really the Soul that gets close in terms of style. But is there more to the e2008 than just style? Nicki Shields finds out
