To account for expansion and contraction of the planks, Nathan used 1/4-inch flooring spacers [https://amzn.to/3u7jDf4] along the perimeter.

To remove the existing vinyl flooring, Nathan used a circular saw [https://amzn.to/3rT0H19] to cut the floor into 2'x2' squares, then removed the squares using a pry bar [https://amzn.to/3nSYzVZ] and hammer [https://amzn.to/3qZD2Nd], all of which is found at home centers.
