This video is called “Sketching Pictorial Views from 3D Objects and/or Images.” It is the 11th video in the Engineering Design, Modeling and Graphics series, and is brought to you by http://www.cadmodelinghub.com/. This video instructs new and aspiring mechanical engineers, aerospace engineers, and automotive engineers in the techniques of sketching pictorial views from 3D objects and/or images. Engineers and designers, even in the age of computers, need the ability to manually draw and sketch pictorial images of mechanical components. It has been my experience that students with above average manual drawing and sketching skills become great 3D designers, 3D modelers and 2D drafters of mechanical components. Often it is the engineer or detailer with the best freehand sketching and drawing techniques that garners the most attention when doing brainstorming and design review sessions. This video provides instructions on how to sketch isometric and pictorial sketches.
