We must not fool ourselves to believe we will be the best version of ourselves while harboring hatred. It's simply not possible. Forgiveness is required for maturity. Many grow older but never learn to mature.

Our response is our responsibility and if that response is hatred and unforgiveness, then we're being irresponsible with the gift of grace that God has given to us.
