In honor of National Mustang Day and celebrating 56 years of the original Pony car here is my "First Mustang" story. It was a Candy Apple Red 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1, 351 M code, FMX, 9inch, PDB, PS, A/C, Fold Down, Tilt wheel, AM/FM with black interior. My brother bought it new in '69 after serving in the Army. I bought it just over 10 years later using the money I had saved since Junior High from my paper route for the Daily News in Los Angeles. In high school I took a job a local gas station saving enough to paint it and rebuild the drive train with the early 80's speed parts of the time.
Some great times and great memories in that car and it was stolen at the end of summer in 1983 in Los Angeles and was never found or recovered.
