VeganNation and Polkadot are the front two and are sending Barcelona sponsorship proposals at a rate of €80 million per year. Barcelona president, Joan Laporta, has reportedly held talks with VeganNation CEO Isaac Thomas. If successful, there will be a GreenCoin logo as a sponsor on the El Barca jersey, including on the training uniform. Meanwhile Polkadot is rumored to have offered a bigger deal than current sponsor Rakuten, while music streaming service Spotify is also said to be vying for sponsorship.

Any deal would significantly improve Barcelona's dire financial situation. The club has amassed a debt of up to £1.16 billion, costing them the loss of several key stars including Lionel Messi.
