After the Stella Canaris Zoo closed in 2013, a large number of the exotic birds that were housed there, were allowed to escape. They have since established colonies in the South of Fuerteventura.
Species in this video include Hadada Ibis (Bostrychia hagedash), Sacred Ibis (Threskiornis aethiopicus), Greylag Goose (Anser anser) and Monk Parakeet (Myiopsitta monachus).

Cuando el Zoo de Stella Canaris cerró en el 2013, varios ejemplares de sus aves exóticas se escaparon y desde entonces han establecido poblaciones en el sur de Fuerteventura.
