In this video we talk about a few topics related to the distance between two polar curves. We discuss how to create a function for the distance between two polar curves at a given value of theta, how to find the rate of change of the distance between the curves, how to find the average distance between the curves on an interval, and then find the area of the region bounded by the curves (just because that gets asked a lot when polar comes up). This video is motivated by some questions from the BC exam free response questions (FRQs):
