Amazing and unbelievable gold finds are supposedly happening all the time, and with little effort. Could these finds be real? What does it take to really find gold? We tell you the real secret.

Let's use the new phone app. We'll take a quick look at it. Hopefully you can see it in the slide. If not, I'll show it to you a different way. We'll see what it does, how easy it is to use, and how you can use the phone app to find giant nuggets.

Alrighty guys, this is how you use the application. It's super easy to use. Check it out. On my phone I have an Android, it's called GF2, so I'm just going to launch the application. Here's the application that comes right up on your phone. These are the general settings. You can select purest gold, minimal effort and GPS. It is recommended to click all three of these. And as you turn them on, hi Maya. Maya wants to help. As you turn them on, you'll see that a green light indicates that that setting is active, so let's go ahead and click let's go.

Alrighty, we're on the initial setup screen, so we just need to click each button. We'll calibrate. Wow, that is fast. We'll tune it and we'll put the EMF filter on. You will not get these features with a standard metal detector. Let's find gold.

Let's quickly follow the instructions. Click okay. All we have to do is follow the instructions on this. Walk north five steps. Walk west 20 steps. Walk south three steps. Walk north one step and walk west 50 steps. Then we just look down. It sounds easy enough to me, so let's give it a try.

Here we go. The first instruction is to walk north five steps. One, two, three, four, five. That's easy. Now walk west 20 steps. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty. Great. Now walk south three steps. One, two, three. That is so easy. Walk north one step. Maybe the calibration's off a little bit. Now we just have to walk west 50 steps. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen nineteen twenty, twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four, twenty-five, twenty-six, twenty-seven, twenty-eight, twenty-nine, thirty, thirty-one, thirty-two, thirty-three, thirty-four, thirty-five, thirty-six, thirty-seven, thirty-eight, thirty-nine, forty, forty-one, forty-two, forty-three, forty-four, forty-five, forty-six, forty-seven, huh look down. Wow. There it is. Check out that nugget. Now I can launch my camera and take a picture of it.

Look at the size of that nugget compared to my foot. Wow. That thing must be massive. I'm guessing it's a cannonball. Wow. Okay. I'm down with it. This application works.

It'll be available in the app store very soon. That nugget is probably worth $150,000-$175,000. I found it quick and easy with this great phone app. Isn't that terrific? And you can too. The only disappointing thing about this is it seems to be a little uncalibrated, but remember it's in beta mode. So I actually walked 47 steps instead of the final 50 but that will be fixed before the release. So stay tuned and soon you'll be finding nuggets like this too.

Now you know that video was just completely not true. This is not a real golden nugget. It's a spray painted rock and you definitely cannot find gold like this with a phone app. You have to work hard. Finding gold is hard work. And the reason I made this video, I was inspired by the video that my friend Chris Ralph, the professional prospector made and it looks like he was kind of talking about some of the BS videos that are out there on the internet where guys are just walking around with plates and finding giant nuggets in the middle of nowhere and just using these cheap metal detectors on a beach somewhere and pulling out giant nuggets.

If it looks too good to be true it is too good to be true. Finding gold is hard work. It always has been hard work. And it always will be hard work. So those are the facts. Hope you get out and find some real gold soon. As for this, I don't know what I'm going to do with it. Maybe it'll make a great paperweight or a doorstop. Later.
