"The Archaeological Museum Frankfurt (Archäologisches Museum) preserves, researches and communicates the history of the City of Frankfurt from the Neolithic period to the early Modern era. The substantial finds related to regional and city history stem from archaeological excavations. These include the digs in the Roman city of NIDA, in Frankfurt’s new Old Town, and in the former Jewish ghetto on Börneplatz. The exhibits are links to bygone times that have become part of our cultural identity in a changing world and allow visitors to experience long-lost cultures.

The franconofurd Imperial Palace offers a window onto the city’s origins: A Roman bath, the walls of the Royal Court of the Carolingians, late Mediaeval cellars – explore traces of around 2,000 years of city history!"
