Welcome to Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium. Mote Marine Aquarium is located just a 10-minute, scenic drive from downtown Sarasota, Florida along the Gulf Coast. Mote Marine has a world-class aquarium that offers visitors the chance to touch stingrays, observe sharks, manatees, sea turtles, otters, and countless other amazing sea creatures. There's an exploration gallery, special exhibits like the Wild Kratts center, a virtual reality experience, and so much more!

One of Sarasota, FL's top attractions, Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium is home to an extensive research laboratory with projects spanning the globe. Mote also has a special Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Hospital and Turtle Hatchling Hospital where sick or injured sea turtles receive treatment so that they can be released safely back into the wild. Mote has treated over 650 sea turtles since 1995. And the Mote Marine calendar is full of virtual and local, Sarasota events, classes, and other things to do like guided kayak trips, camps for kids, and eco-adventures in partnership with Sarasota Bay Explorers.
