Arizona passed House Bill 2031, a bill that requires colleges and universities under the jurisdiction of the Arizona Board of Regents and community colleges to develop policies that allow students to submit documentation that they had an Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 Plan in K-12 to establish that they are a student with a disability in college. This removes the unnecessary barrier for students to have to obtain a new, costly evaluation of their disability to obtain accommodations in college.

In this video, Rachelle Johnson, member of NCLD’s Young Adult Leadership Council, interviews Rep. Michelle Udall about her work in sponsoring this bill.

The National Center for Learning Disabilities' (NCLD) mission is to ensure success for all individuals with learning disabilities in school, at work and in life.
