Lawn! One of the most important parts of your garden. It serves as a canvas, a backdrop for the plants and flowers in your garden.
It ties together all the corners of your garden. The lawn in the garden is like a canvas for an artist, like clay for a sculptor. It serves as a carpet
recreation, a playground and everyone likes to walk barefoot on it and get an unforgettable experience - this is a connection with nature, a connection with
distant ancestors.

But, like any other plant in your garden, it needs care and attention. In this video I show you how to properly feed
lawn in autumn before wintering.

I want to point out the important points:

1) Last mowing. If your region has harsh winters without snow, leave at least 5-10 cm in winter
lawn height (usually this is mowing the lawn at the top positions of the lawn mower height) such a height will increase the chances of a successful
overwinter and act like a blanket.
If winters are warm with plenty of snow cover, leave no more than 5 cm of lawn height in the last haircut in order to avoid dampening.

2) Top dressing: Phosphorus is the most important element for a successful wintering of the lawn, as it increases the concentration of sugars.
in cell sap. Therefore, you need to use fertilizers with its content (and a minimum nitrogen content, it acts in the opposite way).
but there is one caveat, the absorption of phosphorus by plants depends on temperature. At 10 degrees Celsius and lower temperature digestibility
phosphorus by plants drops sharply, therefore it is necessary to feed the lawn in advance while the temperature is kept within 15-20 degrees
Celsius is usually mid-September.

3) Piercing: Wetting the lawn should not be allowed, so potential low-lying areas should be pierced with a pitchfork sufficiently
deep so that water can go into the lower layers of the soil.

4) Snow: In winter, the paths must be cleared of snow and, as a rule, it is poured onto the lawn, if possible, it is not worth creating
on the lawn of large snowdrifts, try to scatter the snow as wide as possible, as under a thick compacted layer of snow
the lawn can swell (snow acts like a blanket).

Following these four simple tips will ensure the most successful overwintering for your lawn.
