Perfect for bento or an appetizer, this pork wrapped rice is a fun and easy way to turn pork belly and rice into something more fancy. Basil adds some freshness to balance the sweet and salty teriyaki style sauce.

Ingredients - makes 4-6 rice rolls
2 cups cooked rice
1/4 cup chopped basil
1/2lb thin slices pork belly
2 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp corn starch

Sauce
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp sake
2 tbsp mirin
2 tbsp sugar

Directions
1. Mix basil and sesame seeds into cooked rice. Rice should be warm enough that it will stick to itself
2. With wet hands form rice into rolls and then use several strips of pork to completely wrap each rice roll. Dust lightly with cornstarch
3. Cook rice rolls over medium heat, turning occasionally to brown each side. Remove from pan once all sides are cooked.
4. Add all sauce ingredients to pan and cook off the alcohol and reduce. Return rice rolls to the pan and turn to cover each roll in the sauce.
