Today I'm building sound diffuser panels using characters from Super Mario Bros. on NES. I made the sound diffuser art using 6 different types of wood, and this woodworking project required me to cut over 1200 wooden blocks. I then turned 5 of my favorite Super Mario Bros characters' 8-bit images into sound diffuser panels - Mario, Goomba, Toad, the Question Block, and the Fire Flower. Each pixel color was made using different natural wood types, including bloodwood, purple heart, walnut, maple, and cherry. And for an added touch, I also incorporated battery-operated LED lights on the back to really make it seem like they were coming straight out of a video game!
Let me know how you think it turned out in the comments! Enjoy the build!
