My home network switch failed after 1.5 years. I think it's because it was running the whole time during all of my basement construction, but don't really know why it ultimately failed. This video shows some of my troubleshooting steps and replacement.

I wouldn't actually recommend the Linksys switch I show in this video because it failed after only 3 weeks of operation. so I sent it back and repurchased another of the original TPLink Switch that worked for 1.5 years.
