This video shows a series of 1 minute daily clips following two horses I had in for starting under saddle in early 2021. Vermicelli, the chestnut 3yo gelding is homebred by the Bechtolsheimers, and Kiki, the 3yo bay mare, was recently bought by Nicolle Begovic from the stud. Both horses have only had basic handling, and although both are destined for dressage careers, they are very different horses, as you will see!

These next 10 days of training (over two weeks, as the horses and I have weekends off!) are designed to develop their confidence in me as a rider by introducing them to obstacles, #hacking and even a polocrosse racquet! Each ride also improves the horses' balance, straightness and responsiveness to my forward and directional cues.

"V" and Kiki enjoyed a two-week break in the field after these four weeks of training, before finishing their 30 day programs.
