Making charcoal using the smothering method is very simple
#charcoalgrill #kamadogrill #charcoal

Here's what you'll need:
Wood scraps
A metal can with holes in the bottom

Instructions:
Gather some wood scraps.
Place the wood scraps upright in the metal can.
Invert the metal can and place it inside a fire pit.
Cover the metal can with burning embers.
Let the wood burn for a while.
You will see flames coming out of the holes in the metal can.
Once the flames die down, use a stick to plug the three holes and let it sit undisturbed.
After one to two days, open the metal can.
The charcoal is now ready to use.

Additional tips:
Use a variety of wood scraps for a more flavorful charcoal.
Make sure the metal can is large enough to hold all of the wood scraps.
Don't let the fire get too hot, or the charcoal will turn to ash.
Be careful when handling the hot charcoal.

Here are some additional points to note:
The smothering method is also known as the "pit method" or the "earth kiln method."
This method of charcoal production is more traditional and time-consuming than using a charcoal kiln.
However, many people believe that charcoal made using the smothering method has a better flavor and burns cleaner than charcoal made from a kiln.
