Lynette (Amanda Page) was a beautiful young woman, whose parents, Marimar (Elizabeth Ramsey) and Fulgoso (Chiquito), were unreasonably strict with her. They refused to allow her to meet men and those who venture to court her were instantly turned away. It was later found out that Lynette was actually adopted and the reason why her parents were strict with her was because they were afraid she might fall in love and leave them. This did happen. Lynette fell in love with Matthew and rebelled against them.
