A live synthesizer jam performed entirely on one piece of hardware.

Full disclosure: while I purchased the Tracker, Play, and Tracker Mini with my own money across the years, Polyend sent along the Tracker+ for free. While that no doubt colours my opinion, I really do want to emphasize that I think the Tracker ecosystem was already very much my thing.

The Tracker+ and Tracker Mini (as of its upcoming 2.0 firmware) are the all-in-one I've been waiting for: 8 stereo sample tracks, 8 voices of great internal synths across 3 timbres, great on-board delay and reverb, 128 step sequences, song mode, multi-track USB audio out for everything, and an incredible and flexible suite of performance effects for jamming.

They have their shortcomings—specifically, they still have some software bugs that can break the flow of music-making, and some promised features (performance effects on the drum synth) that aren't there yet—but mostly they are a joy for writing and jamming. The Tracker was already my favourite sample-based groovebox, and now I think the Tracker + and/or Mini are my favourite groovebox platform, period.

Thanks for listening.

Polyend Tracker+ - All samples and synths

Recorded as multi-track audio via the Tracker's USB, with light processing on a couple of the sample tracks (e.g. compression), and EQ, compression, and limiting on the master.
