Pastoral is basically a lifestyle of shepherd's. Pastoral as a trope of Ecocriticism tries to analyse and interpret the literary narratives from an ecological perspective by bringing out the duality of urban and rural life. The term pastoral is even otherwise connected to literature through various other literary concepts such as Pastoral Elegy, Pastoral Epic, Edenic Pastoral etc .
