How to program a Chamberlain klik3u universal garage door remote with an ancient Stanley opener with no learn button. This ancient opener also has no photoelectric sensors for safety. Next I programmed the universal remote with a newer Chamberlain garage door opener that has a learn button and photoelectric sensors. Both processes were easy once the steps were understood.
The steps for programming a non-learning door opener are not given in the included instructional printout. Instead the instructions tell you to visit http://www.chamberlain.com/klik3 and digging through the website to find the instructions buried in a PDF of page 8 of expanded instructions for the device. Nonsense.
Note: Since the Chamberlain klik3u universal remote only has one set of dip switches I think the most non-learning openers you can program is one per remote.
This device was purchased for $28 at Menards but this item is sometimes cheaper on Amazon.
