SHOWING FOREIGN FRIENDS THE PLACE THAT CHANGED MY LIFE!

It's always an honour to bring guests to T'Boli, South Cotabato. I told this story before, but this was really a life changing place for me - our guide David's family took me in when I was sick 8 years ago and so I always find myself coming back, delving deeper into a place and an ancient culture that I find myself relating to more and more every visit.

This isn't my deepest look into the culture as I have done before and surely will do again; but it is a look at how I introduce my friends to the places and people that shaped my life in many ways.

From T'Boli coffee to being dressed hilariously in the headwear of neighbouring peoples, to Hidak Falls where more hilarity ensues, and onwards to Sitio Kule via the "Daot Bridge" in Sitio Ke Fak.

These places are very dear to me - I've spent many days in these places in the past!

Finally we climb to Sitio Desekit in Laconon, a crossing point, the entrance to the mountains which I will surely delve deeper into in the future, for my favourite dish - Onuk Nelut, or bamboo chicken!
