This simple but elegant end table is made using walnut and maple to achieve nice contrast. The legs are tapered for an elegant Shaker style look. The top has a turn-down chamfer to add a classy look. The table also has a drawer with a unique handle I make myself. This side table is classy and elegant but not overdone. The joinery is accomplished using screw pockets (pocket holes). They are located in a way that they are never seen once full assembly is complete.

This is a project that is easy enough for most woodworkers to accomplish. If the tapers, chamfers, and angles are intimidating then substitute straight legs and a square top for a very nice classic Shaker look.
