Hey friends! Join me in my hippie hot tub down by the creek! I had been wanting to do this since the middle of winter, and never got to doing it. I have been taking care of Steve full time, who is recovering from major spine surgery, so this was nice little 'getaway' for me.
Steves recovery has been horrible for him - that first week was not only the surgical pain, but his severe leg/nerve pain is still there and it's almost worse than it was before surgery. No narcotic would touch the pain, they only made him super sick and still in pain. A family member recommended Lyrica, which is for nerve pain, and since I got him on that on Sunday, he's finally getting some relief. It's still horrible leg pain, which is scary (you wonder if all the disc was removed) because most people that have a spinal decompression like this feel instant relief from that nerve pain. However, the neurosurgeon feels that this is normal as his nerve was so squashed that this pain is a sign that the nerve is telling us it's alive and trying to recover (albeit pissed off!). Anyway, time will tell. 🤞🏼
I started sharing my life on YouTube because I felt a sense of loneliness being a super busy bee, building little things, creating little things and not having someone to share it with (that appreciates it in the same way). Steve isn't that interested in my silly little projects, which is totally ok, but I knew that other people might be. The slowing down of production of these builds and things (from doing all filming and editing etc) is still worth it to me though! It's a patience I have to practice, continually.
