Got on a local lake to see if I could find a decent panfish bite. Caught a lot of fish, most were pretty small but ended up finding a few decent bluegills, a 12" crappie, a smallmouth, and a pile of decent sized perch! Most of the fish came on a small tungsten with a plastic or a small tungsten wonderbread jig with a waxie.

Also had out two finicky foolers with a small jig and a crappie minnow. First time using them for panfish and I have to say, it was a lot of fun! Pretty neat when such a small fish can trip the flag.

Will probably be out on this lake again in the next few days to see if we can find more of those big crappies and gills. Stay tuned!
