"I'm not back, I'm better."
Sha'Carri Richardson secured her first Olympic gold medal as the anchor of Team USA's women's 4x100 relay on Day 14 of the Paris 2024 Olympics. Richardson, alongside Gabby Thomas, Melissa Jefferson, and Twanisha Terry, clocked a season-best time of 41.78 seconds to claim victory. Richardson also earned a silver medal in the 100-meter. The former LSU star was previously suspended by the United States Anti-Doping Agency, which barred her from competing in the 100-meter at the Tokyo Games in 2021 due to a positive test for THC metabolites.
