The concrete promenade that makes up the Daytona Beach Boardwalk, also known as the Daytona Beach Broadwalk, was constructed in the late 1920s. The bandshell and coquina decorations were added in 1938. It is a building that may be found on the sand in Daytona Beach, Florida, at Main Street's eastern terminus and Ocean Avenue's western terminus. It is a concrete walkway featuring a variety of stores and shops, including the City Walk shopping and entertainment complex, hotels, gift shops, amusement centers, arcades, restaurants, and bars. It is open seven days a week.

The Sand Blaster roller coaster, the Ferris wheel, the Slingshot, the Hurricane, the Tilt-O-Whirl, go-carts, and other indoor and outdoor rides are also included. At the Bandshell on the area's northern end, free performances are held during the summer. Thomas Keating constructed the Daytona Beach Pier, often called the Main Street Pier, in the late 1800s. The pier spans 1,000 feet into the Atlantic Ocean and starts at the east end of Main Street, south of the boardwalk.

The area's official name is "Broadwalk." It was given this name because of the walkway's width and the fact that cement, rather than timber planks, was used to build the building. Due of the negative connotation of the word "wide," the editor of the local newspaper insisted on calling it the "boardwalk" instead. Due of this, the popular name has been changed to "Boardwalk".
