What does it take to move some of Victoria’s most critically ill patients into a brand new, state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit (ICU)?

Go behind the scenes on Wednesday 4 May 2016, when staff from the RMH ICU carried out the complex and delicate task of moving 14 of our sickest patients to the new 42-bed capacity unit, a part of the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC).

After years of planning the new RMH ICU is now open and will provide critical care to over 3000 patients per year from The Royal Melbourne, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and The Royal Women's Hospital.
