In this video we are setting up an experiment to determine what is the best way to grow aquarium moss! We will be using my emersed aquarium plant setup to house the experiment and will be evaluating the difference in growth between three different growing methods. Aquarium moss is capable of growing both emersed and submersed and in this video we will be testing these different growing conditions to see what method grows the aquarium moss the fastest. For this experiment I am using Christmas moss, however, since all aquarium mosses grow fairly similar I expect these results will be applicable for other mosses such as java moss. We will also be using a new growing method that uses a combined or mixed approach which grows the aquarium moss both emersed and submersed, as the water level in my setup rises and lowers due to the bell siphon.

This video is part one of the experiment and in the next video we will break down the result and see what method grew the moss the best.
