You definitely cannot deny the GCR or all the other railways that have hired D7535 (25185) in for their diesel galas this year have taken the opportunity with both hands. The ex PDSR class 25 has proven very popular this year since it's transfer to the South Devon Railway and it was well loved at the 2019 September diesel gala at the Loughborough line. The second guest a substitute for the originally requested class 17 Clayton D8565 but all round the perfect substitute is class 42 Warship D821 Greyhound which can be seen in this video prancing to the sound of it's Maybach engines as it runs up and down the line. Joining both of these special visitors are resident class 25 D5185, class 20 D8098, class 33 D6535, class 37 37714, class 45 D123, class 47 D1705, class 50 50017 Royal Oak & the recently restored in BR plain blue class 101 DMU. This grand variety of English Electric and Sulzer locomotives can be seen thrashing their way up and down the railway between Loughborough Central, Quorn and Woodhouse, Rothley & Leicester North stations and also features D123, D1705 & D821 hauling the TPO at various intervals during the day
