Based on the book by L.M Montgomery
Adapted for the stage by Jospeh Robinette
Anne of Avonlea is the enchanting sequel to the Anne of Green Gables classic. Enjoy the charm, excitement and continuing adventures of one of literature's most enduring characters, the red haired and spirited orphan, Anne Shirley.
We see flashbacks of Anne's early life when she first came to Green Gables, and now as a novice young school teacher through to her departure to Redmond College. The play continues with many familiar characters; Maria Cuthbert, Mrs Rachel Lynde, best friend Diana Barry, and of course Gilbert Blythe, along with many new ones bringing mystery, frustration and many memorable episodes.

Youth Theatreworks brings to the stage time honoured classic tales for everyone to appreciate and enjoy. The play has a 30+ cast of talented young people from throughout Auckland.
