The E28 code relates to a problem with the turbidity sensor (the thing that detects how dirty or clean the water is). First thing to do is check the drain and outlet hose for any kinks or blockages. Beyond that, take the front panels off and to test the sensor itself. With a multimeter you should have a resistance reading somewhere between 48K to 52K ohms.
