On April 30, we launched our new barge. Come see how we got the ship out of the barge hall and how many people gathered to watch the launch! In addition, we also make a quick overview of what work is still waiting before you can go on your first trip.


The Emajõe-Peipsi barge is a unique wooden trading vessel that had its heyday from the 14th until the middle of the 20th century – thus contributing greatly to the prosperity of several Estonian towns, especially Tartu.

Our organization is dedicated to keeping the old traditions alive. We are currently building our second wooden barge completely from scratch.
The barge being built will be 22 meters long and 9 meters wide and will have 240m2 of sail area.
