আজ আমি আপনাদের জঙ্গল মহলের মহারানী সুন্দরী সূতানের সাথে আলাপ করাব। সূতান ১২ মাইলের জঙ্গল বাঁকুড়া জেলার রানীবাঁধ ব্লকের অন্তর্ভুক্ত এক গভীর জঙ্গল। এক সময় যা মাওবাদীদের ডেরা হিসাবে পরিচিত ছিল। বাঁকুড়া থেকে সূতানের দুরত্ব ৬৮ কিলোমিটার আর কলকাতা থেকে ২২৭ কিলোমিটার। কলকাতা থেকে ট্রেনে বাঁকুড়ায় নেমে বাসে বা ভাড়ার গাড়ি নিয়ে রানীবাঁধ আস্তে পারেন। দুর্গাপুর হয়ে এলে দুর্গাপুর ষ্টেশন থেকে ঝিলিমিলি ভায়া রানীবাঁধ আসার জন্য SBSTC র বাস পাবেন সকাল ৮.২৫ মিনিটে আর ঝিলিমিলি পৌঁছবেন বেলা ১ টায় সময়। ফেরার বাস ঝিলিমিলি থেকে দুপুর ২.২০ মিনিটে আর দুর্গাপুর পৌঁছবেন সন্ধ্যা ৬.২৫ মিনিটে। আর এক ভাবেও আসা যায় .... কলকাতা থেকে ট্রেনে গালুডি এসে ওখান থেকে গাড়ি ভাড়া করে ঝিলিমিলি রানীবাঁধ ঘুরে নিতে পারেন। গালুডি থেকে ঝিলিমিলি ৪৭ কিলোমিটার, ভাড়া পড়বে কম বেশি ৭০০/_ থেকে ৯০০/- টাকা। কলকাতার এসপ্লানেড থেকে বাঁকুড়ার জঙ্গল মহলের খাতড়া, মুকুটমনিপুর, রানীবাঁধ, ঝিলিমিলি, বান্দোয়ান ইত্যাদি জায়গায় আসার জন্য SBSTC ও অনেক Private Bus service চালু আছে। Night Service এর বাসগুলো সত্যিই ভালো। বেশ আরামদায়ক এবং ভাড়াও তূলনামুলক ভাবে কম। ২০০/- থেকে ২৩০/- টাকার মধ্যে। অর্থ ও সময় দুইই বাঁচবে। সূতানের Guest House বুক করার জন্য www.wbfdc তে যোগাযোগ করুন। On line booking ই একমাত্র উপায়। Family নিয়ে ঐ ঘন জনমানবহীন জঙ্গলের অতিথি নিবাসে রাত কাটানো রোমাঞ্চকর ঠিক ই, তবে কতটা .... সেটা আপনার দমের উপর নির্ভর করে। তার থেকে কাছেই রানীবাঁধ বাজারে "বলাকা লজে 9775726866" এবং হসপিটালের কাছে "উৎসব" লজে 9732474344 রাত কাটানো ভালো। Car parking lot আছে। AC and Non AC D.B. Roomভাড়া ৫০০/- থেকে ১,২০০/- টাকার মধ্যে। অন্যথায় ঝিলিমিলির "রিমিল রিসর্টের কটেজে, টেন্ট হাউসে বা গাছ বাড়িতে রাত কাটানোর রোমাঞ্চ নিরাপদে উপভোগ করাই বুদ্ধিমানের কাজ।
