A community is mourning a bicyclist killed in a tractor-trailer crash on Pleasant View Avenue in Smithfield.

Flowers were placed on the ground Tuesday near the scene of the crash that killed 25-year-old Aliana Ciacciarelli, a health care worker.

The truck driver didn’t stop. Police said they have identified the driver and the truck involved, but they didn't release any additional information.

People who knew Ciacciarelli said she was an emergency department nurse at Kent Hospital.

Smithfield police said she was riding a bicycle at about 9:30 p.m. Monday when she fell off the bike and was hit by a passing tractor-trailer.
