A radio broadcast from 1935, featuring the Javanese keroncong artist Miss Riboet. Miss Riboet (1900-1965) and her husband Tio Tek Djien (1895-1975) established the famous operetta society Orion in 1925.

Performances usually consisted of krontjong (keroncong) accompanied by piano. Although based on traditional Bangsawan and Komedi Stamboel, they introduced several changes, mainly to short action-themes plays. Miss Riboet produced and sold many records at the time and even had her own record label.

The broadcasting was via the NIROM (Netherlands Indies Radio Broadcasting Company) in Batavia (Jakarta), on the occasion of the 55th birthday of Queen Wilhelmina on 31 August 1935
