6th Feburary, 2012 was the 60th Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's accession to the throne after the death of her father, King George VI. Royal Gun Salutes were fired in London to mark the Diamond Jubilee.

At noon in Hyde Park, the King's Troop, Royal Horse Artillery fired a 41 Gun Salute. Then at 1pm on Tower Hill, the Honourable Artillery Company fired a 62 Gun Salute observed by its regimental colonel, HRH Prince Michael of Kent.

The central weekend of celebrations for The Queen's Diamond Jubilee will take place on 2-5th June 2012.

All footage - except the 1952 film reel - was filmed by me.
