I've done an extensive review of the Triton range -   • Mitsubishi Triton 2024 review - dual-...   - but in that launch drive I only got time on-road and off-road, and didn't get to tow a load.

Now that I have, my thoughts on the Triton have changed a bit. It's not the best towing ute in the segment, and in fact, there are plenty of other dual-cab pick-up trucks that I'd recommend over it, if you're planning to tow something as large as I did in this test.

You might be better off choosing one of the more affordable models if you’re hell bent on a Triton for towing, as they have a heavy duty rear spring setup for hard work. Or you could spend thousands on modifying it to suit what you want to do.

But as it is, off the showroom floor, it’s not as good as many of the other utes, in my opinion.
