Emerald Pools is arguably the best swimming hole in Northern California for cliff jumpers. It features cliffs suitable for all different skill levels reaching heights up to 70 feet. This video captures an annual event we hold known as Emerald Palooza where we combine the Tahoe area's best cliff jumpers with incredibly balanced slack liners. This particular swimming hole is also the stomping grounds of a legendary skier known as Shane McConkey aka Cliff Huckstable. He has been a long time idol of mine and I know he would be stoked to see the cliff jumping revolution that is unfolding. If you're into cliff jumping or extreme sports in general you must familiarize yourself with the name McConkey. He just might change your life.
